Walking Floor Trailers

The Bi-LINE system has been installed on both Ejection and Walking Floor Trailers that carry a wide variety of loads.  The system provides secured access for operatives climbing the access ladder, leveling loads and fitting tarpaulin covers.

The operative wears a comfortable padded Bi-LINE Work Positioning Belt with a simple snap fix buckle and friction adjusted webbing strap. Secured access is provided by a retractable lanyard located above the access ladder, this is stored fully retracted to protect from the elements and is pulled down when required using a recovery cord.  The lanyard is attached to a chest anchor on the operatives fall arrest harness.  As they climb the ladder, the lanyard retracts, if a fall were to occur, the lanyard would immediately lock preventing arresting the fall.

The vehicle can be fitted with a second Bi-LINE system and Dual Lanyard.  This system is designed to prevent the operative reaching a fall area, the lanyard is connected to a D Shackle on the operatives waste.  Once connected, the operative has hands free access to the full load length, the lanyard simply slides along two restraint line as the operative progresses along the vehicle.  The length of the lanyard from its attachment to the restraint line to the hook is less than the width of the vehicle preventing falls from the sides.  Stoppers fitted to the restraint lines limit the access at the end of the vehicle.
